“Directors of The Year Awards 2020” is now open for nomination
Committed to the promotion of good corporate governance and business ethics, the Hong Kong Business Ethics Development Centre serves again as a supporting organisation for the "Directors of The Year Awards 2020" (the Awards) this year and encourages companies, boards and individual directors to participate and submit nomination for the Awards. The Awards is an annual event organised by the Hong Kong Institute of Directors (HKIoD). The theme of this year is "Vanguard in Challenging Times". Interested parties are invited to submit their nomination form and supporting documents to HKIoD by 31 July 2020 (Friday) 5:00 pm. “Professional Integrity and Corruption Prevention in Testing and Certification” Webinar
One of the key strengths of Hong Kong's testing and certification (T&C) sector is its high level of integrity and credibility, which gives confidence to users of T&C services. To maintain the integrity standard in the industry, the Hong Kong Business Ethics Development Centre will jointly organise a webinar with the Hong Kong Council for Testing and Certification and the Hong Kong Accreditation Service on 30 July 2020 (Thursday). The webinar will cover the anti-corruption laws in Hong Kong and the common corruption risks and ethical issues that may be encountered by T&C practitioners. The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) Annual Banking Conference 2020
The Hong Kong Business Ethics Development Centre continues to serve as a supporting organisation for the HKIB Annual Banking Conference this year and encourages banking executives and related professionals to join the event. The theme of this year's event is "Innovation and Transformation: A Brave New World of Banking". It will focus on how digital transformation, innovation and the addition of virtual banks into Hong Kong's banking system have revolutionised the industry by opening the doors to better user experience, product innovation, cost and operational efficiency and delivery channels. Annual Corporate and Regulatory Update (ACRU 2020)
ACRU 2020, an annual signature event of The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries (HKICS), will be held on 5 June 2020 (Friday). Representatives from regulatory bodies and expert practitioners will provide updates on enforcement developments and discuss on regulatory related matters. Executive Director of the Hong Kong Business Ethics Development Centre will also share the insights on anti-corruption and ethical governance in the event. ACRU 2020 provides a compelling forum on governance related issues for governance professionals, company secretaries, directors, and senior management. The event will be conducted online this year.
