Corruption complaints concerning the banking and finance industries account for about 6 – 7% of the private sector complaints received by the ICAC each year.
Corruption in any banks or financial institutions may not only jeopardise the interest of various stakeholders, but also lead to financial and reputational loss of the institution and the market as a whole.
The Hong Kong Business Ethics Development Centre offers free anti-corruption and ethics trainings to help banking and financial practitioners stay alert to corruption risks and uphold high integrity standards. We also provide free services and useful resources to help banks and financial institutions guard against corruption and foster an ethical culture.
