The Hong Kong Institute of Directors (HKIoD) - Directors’ Conference 2022
The Directors' Conference 2022 organised by the HKIoD will be held on 21 September 2022. The Hong Kong Business Ethics Development Centre is glad to be invited by HKIoD again as a supporting organisation of this annual event. The theme of this year's Conference is "From Resilience to Sustainability". Speakers will share their insights with participants on leadership in facing lightning challenges and adversities. Details of the event are as below: Date: 21 September 2022 (Wednesday) Time: 9:30am - 5:30pm Venue: Theatre 1, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Old Wing) Language: Mainly in English, with one session in Putonghua, facilitated by simultaneous interpretation in the two languages. The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) Annual Banking Conference 2022
The Hong Kong Business Ethics Development Centre continues to serve as a supporting organisation for the HKIB Annual Banking Conference this year and encourages banking executives and related professionals to join the event. The theme of this year's event is "Strengthen Resilience, Empower Customers and Accelerate Sustainable Growth", with which HKIB strives to provide a platform for the banking industry to get together and exchange new ideas and actionable insights to unleash new growth opportunities and manage the impacts of the global uncertainties. HKBEDC Encourages Participation in the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2022 - “FinTech Award”
The Hong Kong Business Ethics Development Centre (HKBEDC) strives to promote professional and business ethics to various sectors in collaboration with the stakeholders. Serving as a supporting organisation of the "FinTech Award" (the Award) under the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2022, HKBEDC encourages organisations to participate in the Award. The Award, with the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers being appointed as its leading organiser, aims at recognising and promoting outstanding ICT inventions and applications, thereby encouraging innovation and excellence among Hong Kong's ICT talent and enterprises in their constant pursuit of creative and better solutions to meet business and social needs. Companies in the banking, insurance, securities trading as well as fund and asset management industries are encouraged to submit an online application for the Award by 12:00 noon of 27 June 2022. Ethics Promotion Programme for the Construction Industry: An Update
In order to enhance professional ethics and integrity culture in the construction industry, HKBEDC rolled out the Ethics Promotion Programme for the Construction Industry in 2021/22. The following training resources have been produced for construction professionals in collaboration with the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA) and the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS): E-learning Courses An e-learning course is tailored for engineers, architects and surveyors respectively. Each course comprises a Professional Ethics Module and a Legal Compliance and Corruption Prevention module. Desktop and mobile versions are available for accessing the courses anywhere and anytime. Participants who complete the e-learning course may claim 1 CPD hour in the respective profession. Online Feature Articles The Centre also publishes online feature articles for engineers, architects and surveyors, highlighting legal controls over corruption, common ethical challenges at work, managing staff integrity and handling ethical dilemmas.
