SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS IN TYPHOONS OR BLACK RAINSTORM SITUATIONS

All participants are requested to note the following arrangements if Typhoon Signal No. 8 and/or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued during or before the Conference starts.

A. Typhoon Signal No. 8 (or above)

Event Day on
1 September 2017
07:00 AM or before:
  • If Typhoon Signal No. 8 (or above) is issued but cancelled or replaced by a lower signal at 07:00 AM or before, the Conference will proceed as scheduled.
After 07:00 AM:
  • If Typhoon Signal No. 8 (or above) is issued/hoisted after 07:00 AM, the entire Conference is to be cancelled.
During Conference:
  • Once the Hong Kong Observatory issues a Typhoon Signal No. 8 (or above) during the Conference, the event is to be closed in two hours.
B. Black Rainstorm Warning Signal

Event Day on
1 September 2017
07:00 AM or before:
  • If the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued but cancelled or replaced by a lower signal at 07:00 AM or before, the Conference will proceed as scheduled.
After 07:00 AM:
  • If the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued/hoisted after 07:00 AM, the entire Conference is to be cancelled.
During Conference:
  • The Conference will continue.
