CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD) ACCREDITATION

For company directors

  • The Listing Rules of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong recommend directors of listed companies to participate in continuous professional development and the details of the training received by each director should be published in the listed companies' corporate governance reports.
  • Attendance of the Conference would be counted towards the directors' continuous professional development as required by the Listing Rules.

For members of professional bodies/institutes

Members of the following professional bodies/institutes could claim CPD hours/points from the respective organisations with the Certificate of Attendance received after the Conference:

  • Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA)
  • The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries (HKICS)
  • The Hong Kong Institute of Directors (HKIoD)
  • The Law Society of Hong Kong

Accreditation of CPD points/hours is subject to the final decision of the respective organisations.

Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA)

  • HKICPA has no policy requiring outside courses (such as this Conference) to obtain endorsement for HKICPA's Continuing Professional Development (CPD) recognition. It is entirely up to the individual HKICPA member to judge the suitability of this Conference for himself/herself.
  • The presentation/discussion time of the Conference is 3.5 hours. The HKICPA member should decide how many CPD hours he/she claims for attending the Conference.

The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries (HKICS)

  • The ICAC is an Accredited Provider of the HKICS's Enhanced Continuous Professional Development (ECPD) courses. A HKICS member or graduate attending the full Conference will earn 3.5 ECPD hours.

The Hong Kong Institute of Directors (HKIoD)

  • A HKIoD member attending the full Conference will earn 3.5 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours.

The Law Society of Hong Kong

  • A Law Society member attending the full Conference will earn 3 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours.
  • The Law Society stipulates that no CPD points should be claimed by a member if he is absent from the course for more than 30 minutes (eg absent from the luncheon).
