A member of the Institute shall order his conduct so as to uphold the dignity and reputation of the Institute and the surveying profession.
Responsibility to other Members

A member of the Institute shall compete fairly with other Members for instruction or work.
Responsibility to Clients

A member of the Institute shall discharge his duties to his client with integrity and in accordance with the highest standard of business ethics.
Although the Rules are not intended as exhaustive specifications of what one should or should not do, they provide clues on what kind of conduct is necessary and important for professional surveyors. A surveyor can also seek guidance from the Rules on how to deal with legal and ethical issues commonly encountered at work. The above is only an extract of the Rules of Conduct.
